Rural Imaginaries – Long Table Discussion

Saturday 8th January, 6-7pm, Artcore Gallery

Sean Roy Parker, Photograph by Rob Harris.

This long table discussion will take place at Artcore Gallery, Derby, and aims to open conversations surrounding spatial imaginaries, rurality and eco-responsiveness. The discussion will take place within the surroundings of resident artists DARP’s exhibition, whose work will provoke ways in which artist-led spaces can forge new ways of living and working collaboratively, with each other and with their surrounding landscapes.

Hosted by Artcore Gallery, Rural Imaginaries aims to discuss creative possibilities for nature-based urban regeneration within Derby, sustainable living and community growth.

Collaborators: DARP artists, Paula McCloskey (Uni of Derby), Rebecca Beinart (Primary), Neville Portas (Down to Earth), Ivan Smith (Artist) and Olivia Penrose-Punnett (Haarlem).

Featured artists: Ella Fleck, Ella Yolande, Fibi Cowley, Jo Dodd, Maggie Campbell, Sean Roy Parker, Sean Savage- Ferrari, Solomon Berrio-Allen and Sonia Odedra.

Facilitated by Aisling Ward (Artcore)
