Jason’s work is very accessible due to the inventive use of familiar objects. It is often humorous, but always surprising and inspiring. He is a firm believer in the use of creative play and finds the best ideas arise through exploration. He enjoys the restrictions that utilising objects give me. Jason enjoys the cross over from design to sculpture - It has given me more creative freedom as I used to design and sell functional products. Jason has previously undertaken residencies at Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth; Manchester Metropolitan University as part of the Setting Up Scheme; and as part of the Value Judgement Exhibition in Liverpool. His recent exhibitions include his touring exhibition Everyday Objects (Munro House, Leeds; Barnsley Civic; Harley Gallery, Worksop; The Pump House Gallery, Battersea; The Point, Doncaster; 20-21 Gallery, Scunthorpe); Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth
